Ceramic Manufacturing
Slip, glaze and slurry lines that abrade conventional instrumentation.
Ceramic slip and glaze destroy instrumentation that has anything to abrade. A rotor wears, an orifice plate erodes, and the calibration drifts long before anyone notices.
A full-bore electromagnetic meter presents nothing to the slurry but its liner. Measurement stays accurate as solids content varies through a run, because the reading depends on velocity and conductivity rather than on the fluid’s density or viscosity.
Frequently asked questions
Which flow meter survives abrasive ceramic slurry?
An electromagnetic flow meter with a hard-wearing liner. With no moving parts and no obstruction in the bore, there is nothing for abrasive slip or glaze to erode. Accumax supplies PTFE and rubber liners selected for the application.
