Water utilities measure for two reasons: to bill accurately, and to find the water they are losing. Both depend on meters that keep reading correctly for years in chambers that flood, with no one visiting them.
Accumax builds meters for that duty. Full-bore construction means no pressure drop across the meter, which matters when a distribution network is already marginal on head. No moving parts means nothing wears out in continuous service. IP67 and IP68 ratings mean a flooded chamber is not a failure.

Which flow meter is best for a municipal bulk water supply line?
For bulk supply lines carrying clean or treated water, an ultrasonic or electromagnetic meter is usually the right choice. Both are full-bore, so they add no pressure drop to the network, and neither has moving parts to wear in continuous service. Electromagnetic meters require the water to be conductive, which treated municipal water always is.
Can water meters be read remotely instead of by a meter reader?
