Textile processing is water-intensive, and every litre is paid for twice — once on the supply side and again when it leaves as effluent that must be treated.
Electromagnetic meters read the same whether the liquid is clean incoming water or loaded dye-house effluent, because the measurement does not depend on the fluid’s optical or mechanical properties. Batch controllers make repeat dyeing batches repeatable.

How is water consumption measured in a textile dyeing plant?
Electromagnetic flow meters are used on both incoming water and effluent lines. Because measurement is unaffected by the colour, temperature or chemical loading of the liquid, the same meter type works on clean supply and on dye-house effluent.
Can flow measurement control a batch process?
Yes. A batch controller dispenses a set volume and closes the valve automatically, with overrun correction that keeps batch size accurate as valve response changes over time.
