Level Measurement

Solar Powered Digital Water Level Recorder With Telemetry

The Accumax Solar Powered Digital Water Level Recorder (TDWLR, also called an Automatic Water Level Recorder) captures water levels digitally and transmits them wirelessly for real-time remote monitoring.

How it works

A submerged piezoresistive sensor measures the hydrostatic pressure of the water column above it and converts that to level. The probe carries an integral temperature sensor and a vented cable, and connects to a data logger that stores readings locally and transmits them to a remote server.

Features

  • Easy installation

Swift setup, usually under 5 minutes.

  • Door open/lock notification

Notifies on enclosure door open/lock; the source calls this a feature rare elsewhere in the industry.

  • Solar-powered

Self-sustaining solar operation, stated to deliver efficiently in cloudy weather.

  • Longer backup battery life

Operates uninterrupted for 48 to 72 hours if disconnected from the solar panel.

  • Water level recorder

    Digitally captures precise water levels.

  • Wireless technology

Customisable: NB-IoT, GPRS, GSM and edge-based options available.

  • Data logging

Automates data recording and reduces manual collection effort.

  • Real-time monitoring

    Continuous monitoring for immediate action.

  • Remote access

Data accessible from anywhere for real-time decision-making.

  • High accuracy

Claimed by the source; no accuracy figure is given.

  • Weatherproof and corrosion-resistant design

  • Scalable system

Network can be grown to match evolving monitoring needs.

  • Zero maintenance

Stated to minimise upkeep and cut operational costs.

These labels appear in the datasheet, but the value beside them could not be read reliably from the document. Rather than print a figure we cannot stand behind, we have left them out — ask us and we will confirm them directly.

  • ACCURACY — the row label 'Percentage of full scale at reference condition' is printed with no value in the text layer; no accuracy figure is recorded
  • Operating Conditions / Temperature — value only partially survives: the text layer reads 'Temperature | degrees to 60 degrees if metal mounting', with the lower bound lost
  • RANGE example values — the examples read 'Ex: to 20 meters, to 4 meters'; the lower bound of each example range is lost from the text layer
  • Warranty period — the text reads 'A warranty period for our company's products is within [ ] months from the date of purchase'; the number of months is lost

Applications

  • Real-time water level monitoring
  • Remote/unmanned site monitoring where mains power is unavailable
  • Automatic water level recording and data logging
  • Scalable multi-site monitoring networks

Frequently asked questions

What happens at night or during long cloudy spells?

The unit is stated to deliver efficiently in cloudy weather, and its backup battery keeps it operating uninterrupted for 48 to 72 hours if it is disconnected from the solar panel.

Which wireless networks does it support?

The wireless link is customisable, with NB-IoT, GPRS, GSM and edge-based options available.

How quickly can it be installed on site?

Setup is described as swift and hassle-free, usually taking under 5 minutes.

Can it detect tampering with the enclosure?

Yes. It has a door open/lock notification feature, which the source describes as rare elsewhere in the industry.

Does it store data locally, or is everything sent live?

It both logs data automatically and supports real-time monitoring with remote access to the data from anywhere; the source does not state the local storage capacity.
